Psoriasis and Eczema – Is That Itch Becoming a Pain?

Psoriasis and fatty tumors. The eczema-like skin condition psoriasis appears to result from the faulty utilization of fats. People with this abnormality usually have excessive amounts of cholesterol in their skin and blood, and by the time their blood cholesterol has been reduced to normal, their psoriasis has cleared up.

“When 254 patients with psoriasis were given 4 to 8 tablespoons of lecithin daily, no new eruptions occurred after the first week and even the most severe cases recovered within five months. Psoriasis has also been helped by vitamins A and B6. I recommend only 3 tablespoons of granular lecithin daily with every nutrient to help the liver produce its own lecithin.

Fatty tumors and cholesterol deposits, or atheromas, on or under the skin are also associated with low blood lecithin, have been produced in animals by diets containing hydrogenated fats, and are reduced by giving oil, lecithin, or unusually large amounts of vitamin C. These tumors contain cholesterol, saturated fats, and a large percentage of peroxides, or toxic substances formed from fats in the absence of vitamin E, a finding that indicates that vitamin E has been deficient and should be obtained in generous amounts.”

“…….Eczemas result from many deficiencies. Various types of skin rashes and eczemas have been produced in humans and animals by deficiencies of essential fatty acids or almost any one of the B vitamins. The eczema resulting from too little linoleic acid starts as dry, scaly skin (pityriasis) can can become worse until the body is encrusted with heavy, itching scabs.

“It is common in babies, small children, and adults who avoid oils, but usually clears up quickly when 1 to 3 tablespoons of safflower oil or other pressed oils are made part of the daily diet.

Giving vitamin B6 helps to alleviate this eczema, and conversely, oils help to correct eczemas occurring when vitamin B6 is undersupplied.  Every mother unable to nurse her baby should give him a half teaspoon of oil daily; breast milk, although often low in vitamin B6, does contain linoleic acid whereas most formulas do not.

“A dry, scaly, itching eczema occurs when a deficiency of the B vitamin biotin is brought on by taking oral antibiotics, which destroy the intestinal bacteria synthesizing this vitamin. The condition is corrected when the intestinal bacteria are replaced by taking acidophilus culture or eating generous amounts of yogurt.

“A lack of PABA causes dermatitis in animals, and this vitamin has been used successfully in clearing up a wide variety of human eczemas. Another eczema, or dermatitis,

Another eczema, or dermatitis, which most frequently appears on the face, hands, and arms, and is usually associated with diarrhea and mental depression, clears up quickly when 300 milligrams of niacin amide are added to the daily diet.

“Deficiencies of vitamin B2, or riboflavin, repeatedly produced in humans, result in a Seborrheic dermatitis characterized by extreme itching and the oozing of a Waxlike substance which dries into a hard, yellow crust.

In men this eczema first appears on the scrotum, or skin covering the testicles, and the red, scaly, raw, and weeping areas may surround the anus and extend onto the thighs; later it spreads to the face, scalp, and chest. Although unaffected by numerous medications, it and a similar itching rash that occurs in and around the vagina “respond dramatically” after 15 milligrams of vitamins B2 are taken daily. Yeast, however, often clears up such Eczemas more quickly than separate B vitamins.” *

Editor’s note: I personally recommend the Lewis Lab’s Brewer’s Yeast. This is what I take personally, along with Lecithin (non-GMO), vitamin E, a good multi-vitamin and a good quality fish liver oil. Please do note that taking Brewer’s Yeast and Lecithin means you must take a good calcium product. See the data below.

Phosphorus Needs Calcium: Because Brewer’s Yeast and Lecithin are high in phosphorus (a much-needed mineral), it is important to balance it up with calcium. Failing to compensate with calcium will mean your body will lose both phosphorus and calcium in your urine.

Calcium Needs Magnesium: In order for your body to absorb calcium, it needs to be accompanied by its partner, magnesium, in a balanced ratio of two parts calcium to one part magnesium.

Calcium and Magnesium Need Vitamin C: As both calcium and magnesium are alkaline, they need some kind of acid before they can be absorbed. Failing to have this combination can lead to increased deficiencies of calcium and/or magnesium or the calcium depositing in joints (arthritis) or kidneys (stones). You can use apple cider vinegar too but vitamin C is usually a more practical and better-tasting solution.

Why Our  Instant CalMag-C Works: Unlike tablets and capsules that sometimes don’t break down properly, Instant CalMag-C has been formulated in a 2:1 blend of calcium gluconate and magnesium carbonate with vitamin C to adjust the pH so your body can actually absorb the calcium and magnesium. This is very important. It is made with boiling water and this is very important as calcium particles are large and the chemical reaction created by dissolving the powder with boiling water breaks them down into absorbable ones. It has a very pleasant lemony taste.

Calcium Also Needs Vitamins D & F: Most people know that vitamin D is needed to absorb calcium. This is correct but the vitamin D only absorbs it into your bloodstream. What most people don’t know is that, in order to get calcium from your bloodstream into your tissues, you need vitamin F (another name for essential fatty acids). Vitamins D and F need to be in balance with each other so make sure you take a good quality fish (or cod) liver or flax oil in your daily diet. They are very important for good hormonal function too.

We have not added vitamin D or F to Instant CalMag-C as they are both oil soluble vitamins whereas calcium and magnesium are water soluble and it’s not a good idea to mix them.

Please note: We are not doctors. If you have any pain that is not resolving with simple solutions, you must get the appropriate medical help.
