Heart Muscles Are the Heartbeat of Your Life

Heart Muscles ~ the Heartbeat of Your Life

The heart muscle continuously contracts and relaxes, pumping blood throughout the whole human body.

What pushes a heart and other muscles to contract is the mineral calcium. What makes a heart and other muscles relax is the mineral magnesium.  Therefore, calcium and magnesium are essential minerals for whole body health and function.  All muscles and organs in your body depend upon your heart working this way.

Just as spark plugs fire up and run a car’s engine, calcium and magnesium spark the human nervous system’s electrical nerve flow, and control heartbeat patterns and blood pressure.

Mineral Deficiencies & Heartbeat

Calcium and/or magnesium deficiencies adversely affect the human nervous system. Nerves receive and transmit signals (messages) to every body organ and muscle. If the nerves are unable to send these signals, the result is organ and muscle malfunction. The effects of this chain reaction range from mild through various stages of increased discomfort (irregular heartbeat, for instance) to severe pain (as in a heart attack).

When calcium levels are low, the blood vessels can’t contract and push blood through the body.  Low magnesium levels prevent blood-vessel relaxation, which can result in a muscle spasm of the heart – heart failure.

Adrenal glands are responsible for the contraction and relaxation of the blood vessels that lead to your heart.  They, too, must have calcium and magnesium, and salt and potassium.  Deficiencies of these minerals can also lead to heart problems, including failure.

Symptoms and Outcomes of Deficiency

Stress, tension, pain and muscle spasms anywhere in the body, or an inability to sleep well, strain the heart.  These feelings and sensations are among the most prominent symptoms of calcium and magnesium deficiency.

The absence of sufficient calcium and/or magnesium causes nerves to tense up, followed by tensed muscles (muscle cramps) and possible spinal misalignment – often an explanation for “unexplained” aches and pains.

With only one heart and its heartbeat to keep the blood flowing and to keep the body alive, the assurance of proper nutrition intake, including calcium and magnesium, is vital to your good health and well-being.
