Can calcium cause calcification of muscles and organs?
The answer is YES.
The reason is that when you consume calcium rocks (dolomite etc) which the body doesn’t know how to utilize or has no way of being absorbed, it has to go somewhere. Unfortunately, that somewhere is deposits in the kidneys, joints, organs, muscles, arteries, etc and even the heart.
There are many, many calcium supplements. More calcium supplements are sold than any other mineral supplement. Many of them are not right for the human body or are incorrectly balanced.
Calcium deposits result from the wrong type of calcium and/or the missing “mystery” factors needed for it to be used by the body. You could have calcium deposits and still be deficient in calcium.
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in your body. It is needed for a lot of body functions. However, unless calcium has other factors accompanying it, it will just deposit where it doesn’t belong and cause problems. What are the “mystery” factors that allow calcium to be effective?
Calcium – The Right Forms: Per Dr Royal Lee, founder of Standard Process vitamins, two forms are beneficial and absolutely needed by the human body. They are calcium lactate and calcium gluconate. They are able to be used by the body and do not deposit in unwanted places.
Magnesium: Calcium must be balanced with magnesium. Calcium and magnesium work together and must be correctly balanced. In order for your body to use calcium efficiently, it needs to be in a 2:1 ratio with magnesium.These two minerals are responsible for literally hundreds of chemical reactions in your body.
Correct pH: Another vitally important factor is the pH. It is vitally important that the pH is correct. One of main reasons is that most people have low stomach acid and as calcium and magnesium are both alkaline substances, they need to have some kind of acid, such as apple cider vinegar or vitamin C, to adjust the pH into the right range so these minerals can be absorbed and used by the body. Failing to have the correct pH can result in calcium depositing where it doesn’t belong. For most people, vitamin C is more palatable and simpler to use. (Please note that acid reflux is not due to too much acid but, in fact, to too little.)
Vitamins A & D: Vitamin D is needed to absorb it into your bloodstream and gut and vitamin A (and essential fatty acids) are needed to get it from there into the tissues of your body otherwise the calcium will just float around in the gut and/or bloodstream and has no way of entering tissue. As vitamins A and D are oil-soluble vitamins, they are best taken with meals that contain some kind of fat.
It really is that simple.
